Okay, I've been thinking....You know how when two characters are paired up, it's called a ship? And how supporting a particular pairing is called shipping?
Well then, does that mean that the first person to ever create/support a particular pairing would be the ship's captain? Like, for instance, I'm probably the first (and only) person to ship Legal Luke (from Professor Layton) with Mami Tomoe (from Madoka Magica). So then I'd be the captain of the Legal x Mami ship. I mean, it wouldn't always work, since some ships are so popular that no one knows who started them... And then there's canon pairings, in which case, the writers would be the captains. But then the rest of the shippers of that pairing would be the ship's crew...
Oh, and then all together, we'd be shipmates! Like if you were a Ferriswheelshipper, and you asked someone, "Hey, what do you ship in Pokemon?" and they say, "Oh, I ship Touko x N", then you could be all "Me too! That makes us shipmates!" WOULDN'T THAT BE GREAT?!

Fractalists - Rejection by Digital Art Groups?I am really not into creating a lot of DA drama, as most of you who know, but I've experienced something the last few months as I've come back to DA that really bothers me. As my fractal skills increased, I joined a few of the more advanced digital clubs. I don't believe I will ever make a living out of my art, but would like to build up a reputation as an artist beyond the fractal community, which I believe is the only way I'll increase the sales of my prints enough to pay for my premium membership.
Until my return, I have offered up some of my best work to these groups and frankly, have rarely had my pieces rejected. Lately, however, I can't seem to get my work accepted by at least three or four of the more advanced digital clubs. I did not have this problem before. It makes me question if the digital community as a whole is rejecting fractals as an art media (or at least the admins of these groups), or is it just my

We're Home!What a wonderful thing to come home to so many lovely well-wishes and comments. Thank you all, very much. I'll be working on personal replies soon.
Baby and I are home and settling in. I must say, the whole birth thing was a harrowing experience as I started labor Thursday night, finally felt it was "true labor" enough Saturday morning to go to the hospital--only to be turned away because the doctor felt "nothing much" was happening. You'd think after so many babies I'd know what real-labor is by now, but the doctor told me I was mistaken.

By the time I got home less than a hour later, I told Jim to head to another hospital where they were confident something *was* happening (and quite perplexed why the other hospital had turned me away) and baby was born a few hours later.
Anyhow...
First pictures of babies cute, but never very good since babies are usually a bit rash-ey and tired. So, here's a few more better ones we got today

I've finally figured it out!Ok, so yesterday was a super-special-awesometastic day for me. Why? Well, my friend, really awesome new-ish friend from Archway, was coming over to help me out with a game she introduced me to called Perfect World International. Granted, we found that my computer is too slow and the graphics card isn't new enough for it. But then we just got to talking about all kinds of stuff with my dad, and mom when she got home. Apparently, one of these days, she's going to have to come over so we can watch Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete on my Blu-Ray player, since she has neither the movie or the player, and she collects Final Fantasy games.
But I digress...
Anyway, after a while, she had to look for some coffee at the store, and kill some time. We wandered around the store a while, not that she found her coffee, of course. But I was all tense and nervous, 'cause I never go out anywhere with a friend, not counting Charles into the situation. I talked to her some, but I felt like

It's been a whileI dont know what happened, but I'm finally feeling like its OK to be smiling all the time again.
It took a while to feel happy like this- so I'm kinda glad
I hope I dont become depressed any time soon, because I want to use the last few days of school as good ones.

The baby is here!This is `Ravenswd posting for Mirz. We just wanted everyone to know that our baby was born on Saturday, August 25. A healthy baby boy, his name is Michael Hugo. He weighed 7 1/2 pounds and was 19 1/2 inches. Mom & baby are doing fine. The baby was delivered by C-section so Mom is still in the hospital, but she and the baby will be coming home soon.
